The Beneteau Oceanis 35 — a sister ship to the company’s Oceanis 38, introduced last year — a boat with an unusual but incredibly well-imagined and executed interior plan from Nauta Design. It was so well done, actually, that it earned the boat top honors as the best Midsize Cruiser for 2015.
For many editions of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, Beneteau has represented the largest production brand presence. For the past five years, Beneteaus have won the IRC Division 3. In 2014, Beneteau had 12 yachts competing, cementing the brand’s race pedigree.
Making its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2014, the Beneteau Oceanis 35 is already making its mark in Australia, with a second place in its division on its first outing at the Festival of Sails, Geelong, Victoria in January.
